1. drache

Drache, meaning Dragon in German.Drache [ˈdraxə] m <Drachen; Drachen>.A dragon is a large, serpentine, legendary creature that appears in the folklore of many cultures worldwide. Beliefs about dragons vary considerably through regions, but dragons in western cultures since the High Middle Ages have often been depicted as winged, horned, four-legged, and capable of breathing fire.

2. hexer

Hexer, meaning sorcerer in German.Hexer m <Hexers; Hexer>In medieval times, the term “sorcerer” was used to describe almost anyone who practiced science or set up a laboratory. However, now the term is mainly used to describe a person who can perform sorcery — witchcraft or magick. Apart from whether or not they use their magick powers for good or evil, the words sorcerer and sorceress often imply that such a person is very powerful due to having great skill and command of such powers.

3. wasservögel

Wasservögel, meaning waterbirds in German.“Waterbird” in this context, is referring to the two swans that you can in the artwork. The swan was seen as a traditional symbol of beauty and grace in Ancient Greece, and was sacred to Aphrodite. The swan was also sacred to Apollo, the god of music (among other things), in Greek mythology. At the time, the people believed that the swan sang a sweet and beautiful song when people died.

4. klang

In music, klang or clang, is a term sometimes used to translate the German word for tone or simply sound. The musical note, as what most people would call it, or precisely a treble clef, in this artwork, represents sound. Music or I would like to call Harmonic frequency, has existed ever since the beginning of time. Our ancients discovered it ages ago, and it has been evolving as we evolve with our technology.I am grateful that I was able to experience and practice music at a young age, which played a huge part in my life and my decision to do art.

5. kitsune

In Japanese folklore, Kitsune are intelligent foxes that possess paranormal abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. According to yōkai folklore, all foxes have the ability to shapeshift into human form.Other supernatural abilities commonly attributed to kitsune include possession, generating fire or lightning, willful manifestation in the dreams of others, flight, invisibility, and the creation of illusions so elaborate as to be almost indistinguishable from reality.

6. adler

Adler, meaning Eagle in German.
Adler [ˈaːdlər] m <Adlers; Adler>.
An eagle is the strongest among birds because it does not give up until it has risen above challenges. An eagle is symbolic of power. What it signifies may all vary by culture and religion. However, you will find eagle as a star feature quite commonly in a number of folklores and mythology around the world. Even today, many cultures consider an eagle to be a symbol of man’s association with the divine and power.

7. deadrose

"dead-rose".In Ancient mythology the Wild Rose is a powerful symbol of love and adoration. It is strongly associated with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty and love, who is often portrayed with a crown of roses around her head. In addition, the rose is a symbolic carrier of secrets.

8. verwest

"verwest", meaning Decayed in German. The skull in this artwork represents morality or death. It elaborates how finite we are as human beings. We are born on this planet, and experience life in the flesh we were born with, which is sure to decay and cease to exist one day. But is it really over after the body decays?Death ends our lives, not us, our thoughts, achievements, memories, and impressions we have made throughout our life. They will exist for eternity. How we want our impression to be is up to us.

9. horns

Often confused with Satan and a dark history, the goat-headed deity, Baphomet, is a mystery that dates back hundreds of years.
It's also considered a symbol of man's nature, carnal desires, and connection to nature.
I found the design of this creature to be very gothic, which fits the aesthetic of my series.
